AHAVA meet our Guatemala Family.... This is written by our Australian sister, Morningstar who hosted us in Australia in 2002 and 2003 and who toured with us to Guatemala in 2007. She is currently with our family there where we have a Community Drum and held ceremonies at Tikal on Spring Equinox 2007.

WOW, what a journey this has been in conjunction with Unification Maya, the solstice at Tikal, a blue moon eclipse and more!

Unification Maya is a vision of preparation for the Solstice of 2012, each year for the last 5 years, 7 days of Mayan fire ceremonies at different sacred sites leading up to the Solstice at Tikal.
We began each day at 5.30am on the shores of Lake Peten-Itza, to the music of our Marimba Shamans and a fire ceremony to greet the directions and the rising sun. Then off to the site for the day - on the land beside the mineral Lake Sac-Peten, then a Lakota style sweat lodge, which we built in the afternoon, then at Ixlu archeological site - in the grand plaza between 4 ancient pyramid ruins, on the shores of the lake, a jungle reserve, a cave on the Island of Flores, a bird sanctuary and ending up at Tikal itself - an amazing and transformative week, meeting the fires each day. The Marimba carted to each location in the back of Annes pickup and played after each set of 5 mayan glyph counts. Elmera/Vicki flew in from Australia and we shared a room at Gringo Perdido (the lost Traveller).
I have received so many heart felt messages over these last few weeks, that have touched me to deep levels of my being, the jungle internet has been slow and difficult to reach out to you - but I want you to know that your meassages are treasured and I am grateful for our connections.
